Welcome letter The young Southeast Asian Geotechnical Conference (ySEAGC) is the first young engineer conference held alongside with the Southeast Asian Geotechnical Conference. The objective of the Conference is to promote the development of professional careers for young geotechnical engineers and to enhance international liaison and cooperation between them. Young geotechnical engineers in the region and worldwide are invited to share experience, results of work and research, and perspectives on future advancement of the geotechnical profession. The ySEAGC delegates will be given ample time to present their works and exchange ideas. They also will participate in plenary sessions and other social functions of the 17th SEAGC without paying extra fee beyond the ySEAGC registrations. Representative of ySEAGC will be selected to share their ideas and to talk about the future tasks and developments of geotechnical engineering at a special session designated at the 17SEAGC
